How We Verify TV Listings

Accurate listings are the whole point of BaseballOnTV.net. Here's exactly how we build and check them, so you know how much to trust a given entry.

Where our data comes from

Every game on the Site starts from primary sources:

When two sources conflict, we defer to the broadcaster for channel and coverage time and to MLB for game date and matchup, and we re-check as the game approaches.

National vs. in-market

Most games air on a club's regional network or in-market stream; a smaller number are national windows (FOX, ESPN, TBS, NBC/Peacock, Apple TV, MLB Network). We show the national carrier when a game has one, and otherwise the in-market network for the home club. Where a game airs in both English and, for some clubs, a separate feed, we list the primary carrier.

First-pitch times & time zones

We store every start time in US Eastern Time and convert it to your local time zone automatically in your browser, so you never have to do the math.

"TBD" times

If you see TBD instead of a start time, it means the exact time has not yet been published — normal for games more than a week or two out. We deliberately show TBD rather than invent a time, and fill it in as soon as an official time is confirmed.

Blackouts & MLB.TV

Out-of-market streaming on MLB.TV is subject to in-market blackouts, and national-exclusive games have their own restrictions. Where blackout rules are relevant we describe them in plain terms on our MLB.TV & blackouts guide — and we only state rules we can verify against MLB's own policy.

Event history & facts

On our ballpark and preview pages we include background — when a park opened, its dimensions, standings, records. This information is researched and verified against real sources, or left out entirely. We do not fabricate history, records or statistics; a blank section means we could not confirm the fact, not that we forgot it. This standard is set out in our Editorial Policy.

Found an error?

Schedules move, and occasionally we get one wrong. If a time, channel or date looks off, tell us at syntraxstudios@proton.me or through our Submit a Game page. We review corrections quickly and update the Site as soon as we've confirmed the fix.
